Miss Laura Lougher

Miss Laura Lougher is an NHS Consultant, who also works at the Sancta Maria Hospital in Swansea. Her main specialist field is Orthopaedics.


Miss Laura Lougher was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Morriston Hospital, Swansea in May 2012. She qualified from Bristol University Medical School in 1998 and completed Junior Doctor training in Bristol Royal Infirmary and later in Swansea. Her higher surgical training was completed on the All Wales Orthopaedic Surgical Rotation and she subsequently undertook a Specialist Senior Fellowship in Hand and Upper Limb surgery in Bristol. Sub-specialist interests are hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder surgery, peripheral nerve surgery and Dupuytren’s. Her practice covers a wide range of chronic problems as well as acute traumatic injuries. She is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) as well as the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) and the British Shoulder and Elbow Society (BESS).
